Paul learnt the basics of photography and printing in Aix en Provence (France) and developed an interest in both black & white and colour photography, preferring to use black and white film to shoot people, but colour for landscape work. He continues to shoot using both traditional and digital methods. He considers photography to be the ultimate communication tool, simple, instant, and yet highly effective. The medium can reach anyone, irrespective of language, culture or education and generate a range of emotions without the need to explain or intellectualise. Paul has travelled extensively, particularly enjoying Japan, Spain, Ecuador, Cuba and Tunisia. He has exhibited widely in both the UK and France. Paul has a keen interest in Cuba, its culture and above all else its people.
